AN INTERVIEW WITH JAMES KELLY
Question 1 :Please let me know something that you believe in OR few punchlines from your books?
Answer : I believe in leading by example. I also believe in action not words. I pay attention to what people do and not to what they say.
Question 2 :Are you happy about being an Author?
Answer : Yes
Question 3 :What’s your inspiration as an author?
Answer : I want to tell a story that moves someone. I also want to bring awareness to mental illness. I want to entertain the reader as well in my fictions.
Question 4 :What are the best things or positive things about your stories ?
Answer : The best thing about my stories is that I give the reader a chance to experience what it’s like to live with a mental illness on a daily basis. I also address issues such as racism, discrimination against women, homophobia, etc, in one of my fictions.( Hunting Evil: The deception)
Question 5 :Which book or books have you published and which are in pipeline?
Answer : I have published 4 books. 2 of my books are fiction and 2 are Non-fiction. My book titles are “The 3 faces of my mental illness,” “The Hunter,” “Hunting evil the deception,” “The golden key to happiness”.
Question 6 :How to deal with a “Writer’s Block”?
Answer : I try to imagine myself as my main character and take inspiration from that.
Question 7 :Any “Top tips” for writers starting out?
Answer : Write what you enjoy. Write because you love writing and not because you hope to sell a lot of books. You may sell a lot of books or you may not that is why you have to write because you enjoy writing.
Question 8 :What are the problems that you have faced in your Author journey?
Answer : Promoting my books on a limited income.
Question 9 :How did you approach the writing process? Do you have a set routine or does it vary?
Answer : My writing process varies. I don’t write at any certain times nor do I write in any particular manner. I just write when I feel like it.
Question 10 :For you , what makes a great story ?
Answer : A story that lets me experience something new. I also think that a great story has to have character development. The characters have to seem like real people with real issues and real doubts, insecurities, etc.
Question 11 :What Genre of Books do you create and Why you chose it ?
Answer : Fiction and Non-fiction. I like to write both Genres of books. I like to entertain the reader as well as educate them on a particular subject.
