What's your motivation as an author and what have you learnt from writing books?
As an author , what do you think are the positive things about your writings?
When persons tell me that they can relate to what I write then I know that I have touched their hearts in a positive way.
Which book or E-books have you published and which are in pipeline?
Book #1 “Once, Twice, Three Times a Charm, A Collection of Poems” is my debut anthology, which takes you on a journey through my heart, and each piece will give you an idea of where I was at emotionally as you read them. It’s an easy read that is comprised of prose that you may find relatable. How many times have you tried to find true love? Did you find it, and if yes, how long did it take?
Some of us find love at first sight, while others go through many relationships before we find that diamond in the rough, which to me is what love is, as you will see when you read my book. On my journey, it took me 3 tries before I found that rare gem, hence the title of my Anthology, “Once, Twice, Three Times a Charm”.
Book #2 “So Many Things Mean Love”, The second collection of poems following the release of my debut collection “Once, Twice, Three Times a Charm” on February 20, 2020. It takes you on an emotional journey through my mind and heart and what I perceive love to be at the time I wrote each piece. The theme of the book is kept throughout and it brings to life all aspects of love. The Agape, the Eros, and Filial love. There are fifty-seven poems of varying lengths. The book is an easy read and the contents can be used for different occasions, for example, recitals or even in a school setting to teach a lesson.
Love is a necessity and every one of us has to deal with this emotion and come to a decision from time to time. We all have our own definition of what it means, or how it should be. How do you perceive love and what are you going to do about it? All these issues come to the fore in the book.
Do you believe in "Writer's Block" ?
Yes, I believe in “Writer’s Block”. In fact, I experienced it while answering the questions in this interview.
What are the problems that you have faced in your Author journey?
The hardest problem I have faced so far undoubtably is getting sales for my books.
If you could tell something to your younger writing self , what would it be ?
To write harder. That’s it.
Where can people contact you ?
I can be contacted via email: cregmde@gmail.com or by telephone: +1876=279-5169, or through Goodreads
Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want ?
I write as I am inspired, so 100% of my message I hope will be original while at the same time bring value to those who read it.
What's your advice for budding authors?
Believe in yourself. Many of us authors take long to achieve our dreams because we either procrastinate or fail to believe that our message will be impactful. The only way to know for sure is to just write and get it out there and leave the rest to God.
