AN INTERVIEW WITH LIKELELI KAPA

Read Time: < 1 minute

My name is Likeleli Kapa. I am a Mosotho female author and a freelance editor.

Are you happy about being an Author?

I am very happy about being an author because I get to share my creativity with the world. I am able to motivate, educate and entertain the world through my books. Moreover, I get to meet other amazing people like the owner of this blog.

What's your motivation as an author and what have you learnt from writing books?

What motivates me is purely passion for writing and nothing else. From writing books I have learnt that I can heal from things in my personal life and at the same time help others heal as well.

As an author , what do you think are the positive things about your writings?

All of my poems and stories are inspirational. The reader always takes something inspiring home. I also have a very funny comedy play and we all know that comedy reduces stress and that can lengthen a person’s life.

Which book or e-books have you published and which are in pipeline?

I have published three books up to date. The first book is Poems from my heart, the second book is The product of a polygamous set up and the third book is The refugee camp.
Poems from my heart (self published by Reach Publishers in South Africa)
It is available as an ebook on Amazon and as hard copies. It is mainly inspirational poetry.
The product of a polygamous set up (self published on Amazon and Smashwords).

It is available as an ebook and as a paperback on the above mentioned major international platforms. It is a Tragic comedy play. It is short and very easy to read.
The refugee camp: The trials and triumphs of Mary Lee (Published by Ukiyoto publishing in Canada)
It is available on Amazon and on Ukiyoto publishing’s site. It is also available in most book shops in Asia.
It is a novella that shows how bad life is at the refugee camps. However, it shows that no matter where you come from you can succeed in life and change the history of your family lineage. Through the story of Mary Lee we learn that as people we make mistakes but those mistakes don’t define us but rather we learn from our mistakes.

What's your advice for budding authors?

Don’t do it for money or fame. Write because you want to write and money and fame will come later.

Do you believe in "Writer's Block"?

I don’t believe in writer’s Block. I believe that there are enough things happening around us that can spark our creativity.

What are the problems that you have faced in your Author journey?

I have faced lack of support from those I thought would support me. I also struggled with promoting especially for my self published books.

What Genre of Books do you create and Why you chose it ?

My genres are many. I write inspirational Poetry, Comedy plays and narrative literature. I choose these genres because I believe that they represent me.

Where can people contact you ?

I use my real name for all my Social media accounts.
Please contact me on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Please like my page of Facebook. It is called Likeleli Kapa The Author

If you could tell something to your younger writing self, what would it be?

Believe in yourself. The talent that you have is not for you but it is for the world, so please don’t hold it back.

Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

I try to be original. First of all I write for myself. I want to enjoy the writing process.

  • You completed several fine points there. I did a search on the theme and found a good number of people will consent with your blog.

  • I’m really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A few of my blog audience have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this issue?

  • I’m curious to find out what blog platform you happen to be using? I’m having some small security problems with my latest blog and I’d like to find something more risk-free. Do you have any solutions?

  • One more thing. I really believe that there are lots of travel insurance web pages of reliable companies that permit you to enter your holiday details and get you the insurance quotes. You can also purchase the international travel cover policy on the web by using the credit card. All you have to do is to enter the travel specifics and you can see the plans side-by-side. Merely find the plan that suits your financial allowance and needs after which it use your credit card to buy that. Travel insurance online is a good way to start looking for a respectable company with regard to international travel insurance. Thanks for giving your ideas.

  • Thanks for your post on this website. From my own experience, periodically softening way up a photograph could possibly provide the photographer with an amount of an artistic flare. Oftentimes however, this soft clouds isn’t just what exactly you had in your mind and can usually spoil an otherwise good image, especially if you thinking about enlarging the item.

  • Hey there are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and create my own. Do you need any html coding knowledge to make your own blog? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • I抣l right away grab your rss as I can’t find your e-mail subscription link or e-newsletter service. Do you’ve any? Please let me know so that I could subscribe. Thanks.

  • Wow! Thank you! I permanently wanted to write on my website something like that. Can I include a portion of your post to my website?

  • I’ve observed that in the world of today, video games would be the latest phenomenon with kids of all ages. Often times it may be difficult to drag your kids away from the video games. If you want the best of both worlds, there are several educational video games for kids. Great post.

  • Howdy! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your article. One other thing is when you are selling your property all on your own, one of the concerns you need to be cognizant of upfront is when to deal with home inspection records. As a FSBO vendor, the key towards successfully switching your property and also saving money with real estate agent income is understanding. The more you understand, the smoother your home sales effort is going to be. One area exactly where this is particularly important is information about home inspections.

  • Very good written post. It will be supportive to anyone who employess it, including myself. Keep doing what you are doing – looking forward to more posts.
