AN INTERVIEW WITH REKA HALL
Are you happy about being an Author?
I am originally from Hungary and lived in Brighton in the UK for over 10 years. When I finished my degree at the university in Pecs as a Maths and Computer Science teacher, I came to the UK for a summer, and here I am 11 years later married, being a mum and settled down. I started writing when my daughter was born 6 years ago.
My dad passed away 6 months after she was born, and writing helped with my anxiety, it was always easier for me to express myself in the written world. I also felt talking to kids was somehow easier than talking to adults, so I chose to write stories for kids. My debut book, When Millypop and Her Mummy visited Ice Cream Land came out just at the end of August 2020.
What's your motivation as an author?
I would like to help and inspire with my writing. Mindfulness is close to my heart and having seen adults and children with anxiety made me thought I could do something about it, and the book was born.
I would like to spread magic and positivity and would like the world, especially in these difficult times, to believe in magic again and see the positive in things when there is really not much to be happy about in general.
Which book or books have you published, and which are in pipeline?
When Millypop and Her Mummy visited Ice Cream Land is my debut book, I was working on a second Millypop book. I have a blog I started a year ago and I am continuing this year to spread the positivity and magic.
What's your advice for budding authors?
Believe in your work. You got this. Just because someone says it’s not their cup of tea doesn’t mean someone else will not feel amazing after reading your work.
What are the problems that you have faced in your Author journey?
What Genre of Books do you create and Why you chose it?
I started with children’s books as I felt there could be nothing more magical. I also felt talking to kids was somehow easier than talking to adults, so I chose to write stories for kids.
What does your typical writing day looks like?
I write in the early mornings and late nights. During holidays, and on some weekends, I write continuously for a week with small breaks in between.
Where can people contact you?
I have a website where you can find out more about me and it has my Facebook page, twitter account, Instagram, email. All platforms really to get in touch.

You can find my book on most bookstore sites, also on Amazon, Waterstones and Barnes and Noble
What is the best thing about your write up ?
The book was inspired by my daughter. She was 5 when one evening she got scared, she had a bad dream. We talked and after I asked some questions to take her mind off the dream with some positive encouragement she created a magical wonderland; a place she could visit as she drifted off to sleep. She slept through the whole night and woke up the next day excited telling me all about her adventures in Ice Cream Land.
The hardest part was capturing all the details (as she told me), so I could tailor them to the story. There were even more elements that I had to leave off. Probably will keep them for the next book. But the best part was living through the story with her. Let’s be honest: who wouldn’t want to jump on a marshmallow bouncy castle or count candy floss clouds on a gummy bear grass.

I’d also like to state that most people who find themselves without having health insurance are usually students, self-employed and people who are without a job. More than half in the uninsured are under the age of Thirty-five. They do not really feel they are wanting health insurance since they’re young as well as healthy. Its income is generally spent on real estate, food, plus entertainment. Many individuals that do work either 100 or as a hobby are not made available insurance via their work so they get along without as a result of rising price of health insurance in the states. Thanks for the ideas you share through your blog.
Wow! This can be one particular of the most beneficial blogs We’ve ever arrive across on this subject. Basically Wonderful. I am also a specialist in this topic therefore I can understand your hard work.
I have been browsing online more than three hours lately, but I never discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is beautiful worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will likely be much more helpful than ever before.
I’m not sure why but this site is loading very slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
