Are you happy about being an Author?

I love being an author! It is my job, but it’s also my passion and it’s my escape from my own reality. I’m an avid reader as well, but creating characters and their world gives me happiness. I love entertaining people.

What's your motivation as an author and what have you learnt from writing books?

I would write for free, but it also pays the bills. My kids are my motivation because I want them to know how important it is to follow their dreams. I’ve learned that I’m more powerful and resourceful than I thought. I’m a great storyteller.

As an author , what do you think are the positive things about your writings?

I write stories that resonate with young women that have been in similar situations or that need to be warned how to avoid situations. I want my stories to entertain, inform and persuade my readers to be better than my characters. They get to see first-hand how these stories pan out for their favorite characters that way that don’t have to go through it.

Which book or e-books have you published and which are in pipeline?

My books can be found on my website www.taylorsinkpublications.com as well as on Amazon at www.amzn.to/3i3CCxx.

What's your advice for budding authors?

My best advice for budding authors is write the book you want to read, stay consistent, and if you sign to a publisher be sure to read that contract well. If that means a book a month, do it. If it means a book once a year then do that too. Whatever being consistent means for you, do it.

Do you believe in "Writer's Block"?

Yes! For me it happens when I get too caught up in the details of a storyline.

What are the problems that you have faced in your Author journey?

I’ve had a few problems, but mostly keeping a schedule to actually write. In the beginning of my career I had an issue focuses on everyone else around me. Eventually, I realized I had to run my own race and focus on what I had going on.

What Genre of Books do you create and Why you chose it ?

I write Urban romance or urban fiction. I didn’t choose to write urban fiction, it definetly chose me. From the first time I read the Omar Tyree novel, Flyy Girl Urban fiction has held my heart and my pen in it’s grips. Books like, The Coldest Winter Ever, Milk in my Coffee, and Thugs and the Women who love them helped to fuel the raging fire inside me until the words just came tumbling out.

If you could tell something to your younger writing self , what would it be ?

Just write.

Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want ?

I think good authors find the balance between the two without actively trying to do it.
